I'm a Buffalo, New York native, now living in Fredonia in Chautauqua County. I'm happily married to Karen Ehrlich, who works at the University of Fredonia. I have an Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from Bryant & Stratton. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Canisius College. I am currently enrolled in the University of Buffalo's Informatics Master's Program. I am a member of the IGSA ( Informatics Graduate Student Association).
I have a strong interest in Medieval History. I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. My medieval persona lives in the Kingdom of Aethelmearc, in the Shire of Heronter. I've had five publications about heraldry in the organization, under my Medieval Pseudonym, Lord Dagonell Collingwood of Emerald Lake . I also publish a regular Medieval Games column in the kingdom newsletter. Additionally, I occasionally "redact" or modernize medieval recipes.
My interests include, but aren't limited to: Artificial Intelligence programs,
Blues music, Boy Scout memorbilia, Brewing, Chess, Commedia dell'arte,
Computer Languages, Cyberpunk, Folklore, Heraldry, Historical Costumes,
Informatics, Juggling, Kung Fu movies, Letterboxing, Live Action Role-Playing,
Medieval Recipe Redaction, Puppetry, Robots, Scavenger Hunts, Science Fiction,
Strategy Games, Webpage Design, and Writing.
My previous job was working as a trouble-shooter and assistant web-master for Plantrol Systems Ltd. in Westfield. As assistant to the chief web-master, Jim Pratt, I did a great deal of intranet work behind the scenes on a number of important business form companies including Belknap Business Forms, Data Papers, Dupli-Systems, Fastforms, Gintzler, Printsouth, Vallis Champion, and Wardkraft among many others.
I'm currently working as a free-lance web designer. I hope to be hired by a new, growing company in the field of computers and information technology. My primary interests are artificial intelligence and robotics. I'm currently working on a paper that I hope to present at The 16th Annual Midwest Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science Conference in Dayton, Ohio.
