Computer Science Major’s Handbook

INTRODUCTION

This document has been prepared by the Canisius College Computer Science Department. Its purpose is to detail the guidelines, rules and regulations for students taking courses in the department. Some sections will apply only to Computer Science majors while others apply to all students enrolled in any CSC course.

The handbook gives statements on ethics, student conduce within computer facilities, and Internships. A separate document on writing standards will be distributed in courses requiring papers and a document on independent projects is also available.

This document is expected to undergo annual revisions. Students should review this document each fall, and refer to it as necessary.

Students are expected to adhere to the department guidelines, rules and regulations outlined in the handbook. The department reserves the right to make changes to the policies and procedures outlined here.
